"A fantastic activity really well organised and friendly people. It is great that the eggs are spread around the town a good way to notice shops and places may not necessarily see. As a new visitor a great way to see a new town. Wonderful farmers market and great decorating cakes for free! Would definitely pay more feel like it wasn't enough."Jenna Homan, mum of Harry aged 3 from East Wittering. Comments on Easter Market Day and Egg Hunt,
"We rate ourselves as foodies so we love visiting Emsworth. A relaxing walk along the coast, lunch in a superb pub, restaurant or café, and then food shopping in a traditional butchers, greengrocers and fishmongers - what could possibly be nicer."Debbie Vodden, East Hampshire resident
What's on this week
Welcome to Emsworth Life
There is little doubt that Emsworth is a charming and unique place. This beautiful historic market town, positioned at the top of Chichester Harbour on the Hampshire and West Sussex border, would be just as happy sitting by the sea in Cornwall or even Brittany.
In the main, the fishing boats and its once famous oyster industry may have gone, but Emsworth, unlike so many similar communities has still managed to maintain its sense of place and thrive.
At the foot of the South Downs, with an historic quay and two tidal Mill Ponds, Emsworth is popular with sailors, walkers and artists. More recently, it has become a wonderful "foodie" destination too.
Part of the reason for this is the fact that Emsworth still has a wonderful array of independent shops, pubs and eateries. There are very few small towns left on the South Coast that can still offer two family-owned butchers, a greengrocer and a fishmonger. Add into the mix some of the area’s finest restaurants and some wonderful traditional pubs, and you can see why Emsworth is cherished both by its residents and visitors alike.

THE EMSWORTH EXTRA LOYALTY CARD
The Emsworth Business Association supported the introduction of a new loyalty card for customers of local shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and service providers in January 2013. The scheme is FREE and open to all EBA members and continues grow and be very popular in 2014.
Like us, you love the cohesion of Emsworth’s residents, businesses and visitors. As an independent business, your annual subscription of £50.00 (tax deductible) enables the EBA to fund activities and host events which help our unique community to thrive.
Increased membership means a stronger voice and access to Havant Borough and other matched-funding for Emsworth. We are a Not-for-Profit organisation.
