Smarter working has arrived in Havant with the official opening of Studio Seven which forms part of a larger group of Smarter Working Centres (SWC) throughout the county. Local authorities and Hampshire County Council have provided the initial injection of funding into the programme. The initiative is part of a £425k investment by HCC to help Hampshire businesses through and out of the recession to recovery.

These increases will take place in April
Up to 1 hour – from 60p to 70p
Up to 2 hours – from £1 to £1.50
Up to 4 hours – from £1.70 to £2.20
Over 4 hours – from £4 to £5
The hourly rate at seven car parks at Beachlands, Hayling Island, will not be affected, only the daily rate with a peak rate (June to August) going up from £5 to £6 and off-peak (March to May, September to October) rising from £4 to £5. November to February will remain free.
Havant Health Centre and Havant Leisure Centre will see an increase from 50p to 60p for two hours. Annual town centre permits will increase from £350 to £450.
