Fat Olives
From our first arrival in November 1999 we immediately found Emsworth to be a most welcoming and friendly place. We opened Fat Olives on Saturday 9th January 2000 with a full house of local and supporting people. Both our careers since the age of fifteen have been working within luxury hotels, Julia in Front of House, Finance and Sales with Lawrence in Food & Beverage. Running our own Restaurant was always our dream.
At Fat Olives we strive to ensure our customers are able to enjoy a relaxed and informal atmosphere with friendly attentive service. All our dishes are freshly prepared on the premises using as many local suppliers within the surrounding areas as well as serving fish and seafood from sustainable sources.
We are very proud to be part of Emsworths’ community and lots of our customers and suppliers have now become friends. It is this local following that has supported us to gain recognition over the years with the Portsmouth News for ‘The Restaurant of the Year Awards” and “Charity Best Business Awards”. As well as listed in the top Five Food guides each year since our first year of opening.
Over the years we have also had the great opportunity of working closely with local schools and local charities on many events from “The Battle of Trafalgar” week to cookery workshops and involvement with the Emsworth Food Festival.
