Weekend General Assistant

Job Description: Responsible to The Duty Manager, to assist in setting up and preparing The Hotel’s public areas, ready for the arrival of functions and wedding receptions. Attending to guests and residents service requests i.e. portage, changing a light bulb. Assisting with back office clerical work i.e. data base computer entry, labelling envelopes. Assisting in the still room area with room service trays, washing up and maintaining hygienic standards at all times. Would suit an applicant in full time education. General Duties

  • Cleaning and arranging garden furniture
  • Sweeping patio area and front entrance litter picking in car park
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Watering Hanging baskets, flower beds  and garden pots
  • Moving function tables and chairs from the store room
  • Assisting in setting up function rooms i.e. place cards
  • Emptying bottle bins
  • Bottling up bar fridges and cellar work, including pipe cleaning
  • Opening bar ready for service
  • Bar and lounge beverage service
  • Delivering Guests luggage to bedrooms
  • Moving restaurant linen and storing
  • Stripping bedrooms of towels and linen
  • Setting up cots and Z beds in bedrooms
  • Setting up conference rooms
  • Delivering and collecting room service trays
  • Still room washing up
  • Glass collecting, washing and polishing
